The Audi E-Tron from Audi was just the first company experience in the electric car market, a SUV, with a powerful engine and a big battery.

Audi has made bold plans to boost its competitiveness in the global electric car market, with the German company planning to launch 12 electric cars by 2025.

And recently, the company stated that it had already started working on an electric hatchback, to compete with the BMW i3 electric car and the Nissan Leaf. The car is expected to be unveiled soon at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019.

The upcoming Audi electric car is likely to be completely new, meaning that it does not rely on previous models introduced by the company, to simulate what Volkswagen is doing with its prospective ADD electric vehicle, which the company will start manufacturing next year as well.

But that does not deny Audi's keenness to maintain its design identity, so the company said it would be keen for its new car to rely on traditional designs, so as not to cause an exaggerated shock to customers.

Most of today's buyers "are looking for just a beautiful car, and they are not very interested in the nature of the engine, whether electric or conventional, as long as the car can be completely relied upon in all respects," said Andre , Audi director of exterior design. This is what Audi is betting on in the coming years to attract more buyers and pay attention to the scope of its new electric cars, Mendt explained.

The new Audi electric car is likely the size of a Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Bolt and BMW i3 because it will compete in this class of car.
